When Will the Craziness of the Iran Deal End

The Iran War has now gone on for three months. Every couple days, Trump or someone in his administration comes out saying that a deal is right around the corner. He's been pushing this for almost as long as this conflict has been going on. The media and people seem to be eating it up...every time. It's a boy who cried wolf story where the boy keeps getting away with his lies.

I wish I knew how to best handle it. You can no longer take the presidential administration seriously. The following tweet made the rounds a week or so ago with the mocking it deserves.

Insider reporting from an unnamed White House official says the Iran deal is '95% done.' The remaining 5% of negotiations are focused on Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz and turning over all nuclear material

I'm sorry, what? That 5% might as well be 100% of what the negotiations are about. I mean sure there are probably points of contention around the edges, but it really comes down to to Iran's nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz.

It's absolutely bonkers that this is how the whole situation is being framed. Trump brings us into a brand new Middle East war, predictably gets us into a quagmire, can't get out, so he just lies and the media frames it as "normal".

When will this end?
