One year into Trump's disastrous presidency, we still have yet to see the Democratic Party as a whole become an opposition party actually fighting back. All we get are sternly worded letters and various platitudes.

Welcome to Common Sense isn't Common. This is going to be a place for me to write about what's going on in the world. Writing can sometimes be healing in a way. It gives me an outlet to search through my feelings on what is going on. And lately, with all the horrors we're seeing, I have a lot to sort out.

It feels like it's old news at this point, but it's still an important story and it still matters. The United States attacked another country and abducted its president and his wife. Let that sink in. I don't pretend to know or predict the different ways this will shake out, but I can't believe it'll be good.
